Anyways. One of the key issues I noticed is the wrists. They're a tad... out of shape don't you think? c.c

I'd ordinarily do something about that but with the way the hands and wrists join together, it would look strange if I messed with them too much.

great job rocket i'm glad to see you got the ears worked finally. He looks amazing considering it s a mod, you have a real talent for those it seems. I'd like to see some more shots of both him and scorn if possible. If i had the PC version these would be the first downloads i'd get. (oh a heather version for the ladies would be great! i seem to play FO3 better as a girl for some reason :/ )

I'll start work on the female version soon. I also plan to make a child version as well. I'm going to try to make Ratchet himself from the child race since they have bigger heads. XD I've already got plans for how I'm gonna make his outfit too!

with the pitt just releasing i've been all up on FO3 lately. Do you think it would be possible to change the mysterious stranger NPC? so like every once in a while while using VATS, a Mysterious "kevin" appears and helps him out with the kill! That would be hilarious!.

How does armor and such appear on these models? does it deform to the their sizes or does it revert their bodies to the generic shape? because Rockey in Pre-war Business suit would remind me of a certain photo someone drew :).

i don't really know what options are open to you in the mod kit so i'm afraid to ask for to much when it comes to screenshots, I guess any shots of him running around fighting would be great.

I don't know anything about the "mysterious stranger" other than the fact that he's mentioned in the loading screen. If he does exist in the game, he can be edited!
The first time I put the mod together, I accidentally replaced the caucasian race with my own. Anybody in the game that was supposed to be a caucasian was turned into a lombax. Well that doesn't include the females though since i haven't made a female version yet. Anyway, it was odd because all of them even had similar facial structures (except for the animal noses and ears) to what they had before and all of their scripts were the same. Unlike oblivion, the race is only appearance and doesn't technically affect the character dialogue and such.

The armor itself is a separate mesh from the body. In order to make the armor shown in these screenshots, I actually had to put it together with the body I made. Unfortunately the body underneath does not affect the clothing models equipped. I need to customize the models if i want it to look like that. I could make a custom version of the business suit especially for Rocky if you'd like to see it. I actually was planning on it. Rocky can really rock a business suit!

Mysterious stranger is one of the funner perks in the game, basically if you don't kill something in VATS there is a small chance a "mysterious stranger" will show up and kill it for you. Usually your only supposed to see him from the shadows, but thanks to most of the games indoor maps you can see him run up to your character and blow the enemy's face off. then he disappears. cracks me up when this sleek badass runs through a room like a retard just to cap a robot. lul I think he'd be a perfect Kevin mod hahah

I can understand about the Armor mod, Bethesda probably wasn't planning on to many people doing body mods in the first place. Maybe armor mods, but not body mods. seeing that many lombax's running around would be hilarious though you have to admit. Oh hey what is the program you use to do all this model editing in? if i can pick up a version for the mac, i could probably help you out as far as editing goes. I wont touch coding yet ¬_¬'

It works for the half-a-billion nude female meshes that modders made for the game. Unfortunately making a body that's bigger than the conventional armor models is a little different.

I'm still not sure how to package mods yet. If I did, there would be no problems.

Just for future reference, when you're customizing the character, after you select the race, DON'T turn the head. Turn it to the position you want to see it as before choose the race because he'll drop down to his actual height if you turn the model. XD He's a little shorter than most characters and you'll usually see only the top of his head and ears in the circular screen. That's the only real issue but I don't want to change his height and make him taller. I could show you a screenshot to illustrate what i mean.

Does everything change colors when you alter the character skin tone?

What do you mean about the colors? If you're talking about the lighting, that's from a mod I downloaded that allows you to place orbs of light anywhere. It comes in all sorts of colors and works really well for showing off in screenshots.

Nah Rocky, I mean in the character creator, when you can toggle the color of your characters skin by making it more or less yellow or blue, darker or lighter, etc etc. Would that actually change the color of your character?

It does actually. Sometime after this screenshot, I decided Rocky looked way too pale so I turned up the orange tone to his skin. It changed the skin tone on his body too! It's pretty cool.

It's partially edited with a 3D program called Blender and some extra work fine tuning the facial features with the Fallout 3 construction set's face gen program. I also got some pointers from Fallout 3's friendly modding community!

Sorry, that's actually a problem with the custom race. Somebody made a plugin to override the problem.

Yeah I managed to get around that, shortly after posting, by pulling up the console and running the ShowRaceMenu and changing to a human for just before running the GECK.

I s'pose that works too. I think it's funny when I switch races. Dad stays the same.
Regardless, it's good you found your own way to get around it. It's gotta suck for people that spend a long time working on their character's face and then have to change races though.

Well I got the game when you posted your mod, and only recently found the workaround, by sheer luck XD It's just in that one scene where the bug lays, and you can change back when the Brotherhood rescues you.

Eh, trolls don't bother me too much. I don't really care what they think. To be honest, I had originally made it just for myself. It's like making my own "avatar." I wanted something more unique than the original races and decided to go for it. Since it turned out fairly well, I figured I'd share it with others. Regardless of the naysayers, there is a pretty large amount of downloads of the mod. I guess I must've done something right.

I've also heard from some people that it renewed their interest in the game. It's comments like those that keep me going.

Keep an eye out. It's not even close to done yet. I've got an update coming out soon.
