drawing with the side of the chalk/pastel/crayon is useful and often like using a brush, kind of. sort of.

Fine piece. I love crows, smart, tough birds. I saw a documentary on animal behavior once that showed a crow that had learned to drop acorns (I think) into a traffic intersection. Cars would crack the shells open and the bird would fly down to eat the nuts inside. Smart!

Seagulls do this too! With shellfish they will fly up and drop them onto rocks to crack them open.
