digital. 2009.
There is a scene not illustrated of the following morning after the
sleep on path, when those damn crows come back. It's very violent and
abrupt. The shock of it takes place far more effectively in the reader's
mind than in anything I could depict. This also gets me back up to speed
with the pacing. After spending two images on one scene. I skip the
next scene to this one.
In this one, she has "Leveled Up" and acquired some new skills and
gumption. She's made her own broom and is making her own path, now.
Though there is motion and stuff going on. I wanted her to seem stable
and in control of it. So she is upright in the middle of this zephyr of her
own design.

Wow that is gorgous. I am starting with my digital work (about two weeks into it) and I wonder how you get your colors soooooo vibrant. I see what brushes you used, or at the brushes that I encountered that can achieve some of those effects. But man I love the paper quality, it makes the story telling of the illustration more folklore. Well done. I'm soo glad that I am watching you.
