
I got an inquiry about this picture, which I did many years ago for the old ConFurence art show. I did this before I habitually made copies or scans of my con art, but I still have the original black and white inked piece. There's been some digital clean-up and re-lettering for this version.

This is great. I love new world cats and this taught me the name of one I wasn't familiar with--the kodkod.
I recently saw what I believe to have been a jaguarundi here on the ranch. Low-slung, long-bodied, round-eared, long-tailed cat that was of a weird color I've never seen with domestic cats. The gulf coast jaguarudi is making a come back here in south Texas but still quite rare. Aside from that, I've seen a bobcat five or six times on my ranch and what looked like a juvenile cougar just once. A good friend recently got a good look at a cougar near my house. If I can just see an ocelot I'll have completed my Texas cat bingo. :)
