It's been a while since my last piece of "Zootopia" fan art, and I couldn't think of a better time than now - when schools across the USA (and other parts of the world) had just reopened for students of all ages - to present my newest offering...
In past comic gags, I had depicted the anthropomorphic character 'Flash' (the sloth) performing in other jobs (than the one he had in the Disney CGI feature, working for the DMV - the Department of Mammal Vehicles). This time, I'd given him an occupation worthy of his slowness: working in a 'school zone' as a School Crossing Guard. He holds up a special sign, that stops traffic while he allows youngsters to cross the street. The sign itself can easily be misinterpreted, and yet seems to make perfect sense for 'Flash'.
Only a beaver motorist (in his own car, with buck teeth as part of its grillwork) is stopped at the crossing, as his patience is being tested by the new School Crossing Guard...

Thanks for the compliment, Cho-Ran. My goal is to see that a "Zootopia" daily comic strip ends up in newspapers and/or the Internet (since it will take many years for a sequel to the Disney CGI feature to be produced, and I'd like for its fans to be entertained during the interim)...
License plates seem to be a recurring theme in the film (including the plate on the limousine driven by 'Mr. Manchas', and the vanity plate of the car owned by 'Flash'). In fact, when I saw "Zootopia" several times, I was blown away by the fact that the pie truck owned by 'Gideon Gray' had a license plate that began with the characters JED31 (because JED is my RL first name, and 31 represents my actual birthdate - March 1st - but I don't believe that I was really the intended subject of an 'Easter Egg')! So, I'd thought of an apropos vanity plate for the beaver (A BUSY 1) in this strip, and I might come up with more of them in future "Zootopia" fan art pieces!
