The Scroll Thief
It was a hot and sunny day in the Greater Istanbul marketplace. Scarlet and Leo were scampering across the stands seeking quality fabrics, ornaments, and materials for their projects. By noon, Scarlet had purchased many fine things and laden them upon Leo, so that she could continue hunting for other rare items to purchase.
While Scarlet was sampling the aromas of numerous precious spices in an attempt to discover a new interesting scent, Leo noticed an unusual shine behind him. He turned to stare at the source of glimmer and his gaze fell on a curious scene in the small garden within the market. The garden was occupied by a few royal guards, which were protecting two iron chests, along with a basin filled with scrolls. They were likely guarding a trove of rare items bought from the black market, hidden within the bowels of Istanbul. The emperor was quite infamous for collecting precious treasures and lost antiquities from the illegal market. Leo stared intently at the papers, and noticed a familiar seal on them. His eyes widened with the realization that he was in front of the ancient seal of Babylonia, and that the emperor had purchased a portion of the Babylonia's lost knowledge. The same knowledge he believed to have been burnt in the searing flames of hatred when the city was conquered. Seeing this trove of lost knowledge, Leo could not in good conscience let these artifacts be left to rot in the emperor's treasure room, only to be lost again and fall into oblivion, piled upon the forgotten ashes of history.
Leo nimbly moved through the market customers to the small garden surrounded by columns. He slid into the shadows among the pillars moving cautiously through the series of columns, until he reached a decorative bush which stood between him and the precious scrolls. Leo deftly held Scarlet's fabrics in his right harm, while silently attempting to grasp the papers with his left. The guards were turned away from the treasure. No danger he thought. Leo rapidly grasped all the scrolls of Babylonia and retracted his hand. To his dismay, however, one of the papers caught onto the branches of the bush. Leo attempted to force the page through the bush, only to cause one of the branches on the bush to crack. The sound drew the attention of one of the guards, who turned in his direction attempting to discover the source of the noise. Leo stood motionless, hoping the bush would hide him and his scrolls, but it was to no avail. Noticing the empty basin, the guard stood still with a puzzled look for a moment. Gathering his wits however, he motioned to the other guard and sounded the alarm "Thief! THIEF!".
Leo sprang from the bush and attempted to escape, but the guards immediately spotted his movements. As the hound scrambled to flee, he ran directly into the wall in front of him, and upon recovering, he ran into several of blue clad customers within crowd. His attempts to escape were to no avail, for soon he was surrounded by guards. Just as his fate seemed sealed, however a familiar shape, clad in red and gold clothing appeared between him and the guards, and with a flick of her wrist, she threw a handful of smoke pellets to the ground. After a bright flash and a loud bang, a thick smoke filled the air, instantly obscuring Scarlet and Leo from their pursuers. Scarlet swiftly pivoted on her feet, sweeping the legs pursuing guards. A loud metal crash following the motion assured Scarlet that the guards were knocked to the ground and unable to continue the chase).
"What would you do without me?" Scarlet grinned, as she pulled Leo away from the scene and drug him toward the market, running swift as the wind to evade new guards approaching.
Scarlet glared disapprovingly at Leo "Did you have to steel the emperor's treasures? seriously?"
"b-but... they.." Leo stammered as he attempted to catch his breath "those are scrolls from Babylonia! I thought they.... they all were lost into the fire! I c... could not leave them to their fate, you know!". An angry hiss cut threw the as air as an arrow pierced Leo's hat and plunged into the ground in front of them.
The lioness sighed "Then you shall have to run faster! We cannot read the scrolls if they manage to take our heads!"
Scarlet dove into a small ally way behind the market, grabbing Leo by the arm in an effort to make him run faster. The hound struggled to maintain the pace and balance his precious scrolls with Scarlet's fabrics and materials purchased from the market earlier, as they both coursed like the wind to avoid stands, customers... and arrows.

Ahahaha, this is awesome! XD
Love how it came out, Scarlet dragging poor Leo through market came out pretty much how I'd pictured in my head when I read the story, that is awesome XD
On another note *ehem* it seems Leo needs to work on his arrow blocking technique, one seems to be at serious risk for the loss of a fine dress with all those unaccounted for arrows XP Hope that one to the gem does put a nasty scratch in it XD
V/R,
