Spring is sprung
The grass is riz
I wonder where
The birdies is?
Crocuseses have always been the harbinger of spring to me, ever since I made it into the "aw, ain't that cute" column of the Philadelphia Inquirer in 1967 by proudly announcing to my kindergarten teacher, 'They must be snowproof!"
Anyhow, I keep missing seeing them each year, so, last fall, I planted a couple of my own out front. Came home Thursday night, and voila! One actually grew!
I'm rather pleased. This is the first time I've successfully grown something since I got an avocado to semi-sprout in grade school...
