He serves as a glorified guard dog for some shady characters, who also hooked him up with some sophisticated prosthetics when his legs were destroyed in a fight. The prosthetics pump his recessive blood in a synthetic process similar to how his body would have, and the little censors on the front of each leg shows whether the recessive blood is being pumped up to the rest of the body or not.
