then how comes you got a lot of comments on LJ saying the prices are too high. I read those posts too. I even showed ur site on a Furcadia dream and the one person said that the prices were crazy. There are a lot people i know that wouldn't pay those prices. They would rather pay cheaper prices, or make their own.
Well, good for you then. But you try and find someone to make you a custom one of a kind garment with no prefabricated pieces or molds to work from.
You're talking materials, labor, and the fact that you have to design the pieces. You can get a generic one for yourself for less, or make your own, but if you do, I doubt your first entry will be anything remarkable. It takes a lot of practice to get good at fursuit making, just like fine art.
Maybe they would rather pay less, but just because you only want a car for $2000 doesn't mean that's what you'll get, especially if you want a new one.
I would do some research before you go saying someone's prices are crazy.

Well like i said before I understand she's trying to make money. But I've still seen people on the LJ group fursuits. Who actually done suits better, and they were the people who said that the prices were too high. Honestly I agree with them. People are honestly looking for cheaper prices. Or they do it themself. I actually I have my own fur fabric that I got from Joann's and it was $5 for I do believe a foot and a half. Now then again i got it on a sell. It was also pretty good fabric. And I know the fabric can be a lot more especially with more you get. Also that $2000 I could get a new car. Oh wait that's what I'm trying to do anyways. One last thing, you want to yell at me for having an opinion then fine. But I'm still allowed to have one.
Better is a relative term, as is the matter of the price. There are any number of makers who can go out and make fursuits, materials vary, methods vary, and of course people are looking for cheaper prices. But there is such a thing as too cheap, fursuit makers have to make money, so that means there's going to be a base price. If you think it's too much, shop around. Don't complain to their face that they're charging too much unless you want something from them.
And no, you can't get a new car for $2000. A used one, maybe. But you show me the dealership that will charge you $2000 for a brand new car and then we'll talk.
You're entitled to your opinion, but I invite you to do some research before you assume someone's prices are too high, and state it tactfully. I don't think there's anyone who wouldn't take offense if accused of having crazy prices.

It's kinda funny that a few customers of those so called "Professional makers" talked to me and complained that their suits aren't as nice as they wanted them and are falling apart quickly. To name just one, EraDragon came to me and kept complaining about her suit and asked me if i could make her a new one cause she really likes my suits. I don't want to offend anyone, hell no. All i want is make suits and sell them for a reasonable price. Most of you don't think about costs like disposable tools, electricity etc. That is your problem. You can have your own opinion to it and this is my opinion. I respect yours and so i expect you to respect mine as well.
From what I've seen and tailied up for what would be needed to make the suit and make sure its good quality. 1000 and up, so no your prices are not unfair at all. Some people need to sit down and see exactly what it takes to make a suit not a costume. Most people are thinking in terms of a costume, well what happens when you wear a costume on a regular basis...it falls apart quickly. Why cant some people realize your going for more permanent not temporary. They need to be directed to the nearest Halloween shop, since they obviously don't realize what it takes to make a good full quality suit. I know if I had the money I would commission a suite from you at that price no questions asked ^.=.^
