honestly for most my art i use a grand total of three brushes, sometimes i use a texture brush or a star brush for the bg
my sketches are usually a brush size 8 and inking is usually a brush size 1-3 depending on canvas size
most my uploaded images are 900px in height resolution i think i use 600
additional:
you gotta find what works for you!
when i started out i tried thicker bold lines, weighing them to the best of my ability, it just didn't look good
come to find i work great with paper thin lines!

oh man glad to know i'm not alone. most the artists i follow do clean it up but once in awhile i'll see both popular n experienced artists and beginners post images with bleeds n i'm like CMON MAN;;; it only takes a few minutes!
once in awhile i forget if i don't do it in this step, it's easier for me to see with the pale solid base over the dark, sometimes i'm like 'nah i'll do it when i'm done' then i forget and swear when i see it the next day, have to go in and edit that in post fuh!
sorry for that there xD; it's a bit of a peeve of mine too man

ahahaha, I'm so guilty of the bleeding myself!
But it is awesome to see how you work, dude! :D I'm slowly challenging myself with different poses too, but I'm also guilty of giving up and just going for the easy/already known instead. xD But this is starting to motivate me. ^_^b
