The Sentinel lightsaber is not the only lightsaber I possess. Years ago, I managed to get ahold of FX sabers- half of Darth Maul's and Luke's. They have considerable weight to them, such that I can't mount them on the katana stand that you can partially see behind them. I wish I still had the stand for them, but oh well...

The FX sabers come with sound, but the blades aren't exactly durable- the way FX sabers work is that the LEDs are contained throughout the blade's length, so it'll light up in sequence when activated, and dim in sequence when shut off. The problem with this setup is that you need a very thick and durable blade to keep them in if you except to have even mock duals with them. Don't get me wrong, the FX saber blades can take alot of punishment, but the right blow in the right place can damage the LED.

Not such a big problem if you don't care about it... but good luck finding -either- of these lightsabers for under $700. I got them while they were still $200 apiece.

The Sentinel saber, on the other hand, does not come with sound. No big deal, I can fake the sounds if I wanna. X3 More seriously, though, the sounds would've bumped the price up to over $300, which I would've been happy to pay for... except I was a little impatient. ^^; This entire setup was $175, minus shipping. To get sound, I would've had to take the Champion-level version, which would've had a -base cost- of $325. The leather grip would've bumped t up an extra $10.

... Might have to save up to get another. <3 Something in blue, perhaps?
