So yeah, that vacation to Block Island could've gone better.

I finally saved up enough money to go to a New England island for a few nights, just a simple and short vacation. My first trip up North for that matter. Naturally, from bank robberies to gun point muggings, trouble has a way of following me.

I arrived on Sunday (the ferries being closed should've been a omen), had a wave knock me off a break wall onto some rocks on Monday, flew home and got booted and power gloved on Wednesday.
The diagnosis: a fractured foot and a sprained wrist.
The final word: I got to spend four weeks in this boot and gauntlet.

Lesson learned: the sea is a beguiling and harsh mistress. Give her your caution and respect.

Also, if angels have accents, they're from Rhode Island.
And they say things like, "Are you outta ya f****** mind, kid?!"
