I thought managing twelve  pokecombatacademy characters was already more than enough; I “wanted” to start doing something more with my currently existing teams, but I have such a weak will … *sigh* …

I started with the photo on the right that's stuck to side of the filing cabinet. I was aiming at making a new team, and technically I did, at least half of one. But halfway through I figured I'd try something new instead and decided on making some faculty members who were on the same team in their schooling days.


Name: Luna Rae
Stats: ♀ Weavile [pressure], 38
Position: Faculty - Business Studies Speech and Debate
Base Attacks: Taunt, Ice Shard, Captivate, Night Slash
Background: Luna was adopted and raised by an older Delibird couple, which explains in part her lower than normal aggressive tendencies typical of other Weaviles. She holds a great deal of contempt for prejudice and unjustified actions having been on the receiving end of such herself during her schooling years. Instead of lashing out like most would, Luna refocused that energy into understanding why one would resort to such behavior. Upon her adoptive parents’ desire for her to learn and experience more of the outside world, she willingly transferred out from her local academy to finish up her studies at the PCA. Not long after, she enlists in a team and quickly befriends a rather serious natured Golduck by the name of Cassidy Valera. After graduation and a few years of notable service as an upstart lawyer in a not too distant law firm, she decided to try her luck and applied for work at the PCA. Luna nearly has all the credentials to become a recognized lawyer in her own right and has performed such services from time to time but she consistently refuses to fully commit to such. She feels that her talents can be put to better use at the academy where she is better poised to enlighten the youth in better ways.

Luna enjoys challenging the minds of the students in her class; often pushing them to see things from different perspectives to better understand certain mindsets an individual may have on a topic or event. Easy to approach and quite the sociable type, she’ll often engage in oral debates with students and faculty alike who have firm standpoints on certain issues. It’s not uncommon for her to be seen judging arena battles from time to time whenever the need arises.


Name: Cassidy Valera
Stats: ♀ Golduck [damp], 43
Position: Faculty - JROTC Environmental Studies
Base Attacks: Disable, Aqua Jet, Foresight, Ice Punch
Background: Cassidy was quite the antisocial independent type during her freshman year at the PCA. She reluctantly joined a team upon the insistence of its leader that the experience would be well worth the trouble. Throughout her schooling years she developed a rather impetuous habit of not hesitating to speak openly when she suspected that the truth of the matter at hand was being withheld; a trait that fostered a strong and lasting friendship with fellow teammate Luna Rae. Cassidy joined the Pokémon Rangers soon after her graduation. Her skill in legitimate and improvised battle tactics and leadership skills has earned her a fair amount of respect amongst the Rangers. After several years of noteworthy service with the Rangers, she was deemed the most suitable candidate for reassignment to the PCA to act as an instructor/recruiter. Cassidy initially did not look forward going back to the PCA due to some memories that she would have preferred to have forgotten. However after learning that an old friend of hers was also working at the academy, her apprehension towards the transition was made more tolerable.

If there’s one thing that Cassidy won’t stand for in her classes its students putting off things for tomorrow than can be done today. Such candidates are usually given special duties and extra attention to keep them performing on par with the rest of the class. She’s rather fond of her work, even if most see her as a rather harsh and demanding teacher with an unrelenting drive to bring out the best in her students. In her off time she’s usually seen lurking about at the arena or training grounds if she isn’t already in the gym working out.
