So here is one half of the Double Sunflower character in their references. This is Tina, the Fire Flower.

Tina was outgoing and aggressive in her defense of the gardens, prompting more to play a slight battle medic role on her teams with igniting zombies and keeping everything healed up. She rather liked the intricacies of personalization, so she opted to get cybernetic hands for herself over her natural leaves, just as an added bonus for her to have more dexterity. She chose a sunhat as something to really help compliment her heritage as a Sunflower, but at the same time, the thing is doused in flame retardant so that she doesn't accidentally ignite it. She didn't actually lose any of her petals putting it on, they're all just tucked underneath the hat. She chose the electrical glasses moreso because of their look and also as a way to show respect to all the Power plants in the garden that have been of great help to her in the past. It's less a fashion thing and more a respect thing, but she kinda needs them, ironically. Of course, her constant exposure to fire and sun caused her to take on a more reddish tone of her internal part of her flower, looking almost sunburnt in the process.

The two knew about each other, and at times fought alongside each other on multiple occasions, always there to make sure one of the two was never left behind. That was, until the day they both went down together from a combined strike. Unable to help the other, they watched as the rest of their teammates were wiped out, being the only Sunflowers on the team at the time. They were both picked up by scavenging plants looking for survivors of the battle, and brought back to a isolated garden used for battle-torn plants. Interestingly, they were put into a specific section of the garden that some didn't know was laced a little with Plant Food, and it not only helped them revive, it also did something else to their bodies. Being supercharged by the Plant Food, their bodies literally fused at the stem to each other, creating a Double Sunflower. Normally, a Double Sunflower is a rare seed, created either artificially or by accident. When in this case, however, their fusion was something that no one expected, especially from Sunflowers sent out into the field instead of helping to guard the yards. The process though of their fusion did more than just fuse their bodies together. It retained their movement capabilities, allowing them to get up and walk around like normal front-line Sunflowers could. Yet, they realized that they were now tied together, permanently fused into a Double Sunflower, but one that contained the power of Fire and Electricity in one deadly combo.

As they were revived and rejuvenated instead of regrown, they retained their original personalities and their attire as well instead of starting off fresh and stock again. Now it's more the two sharing not the same body, but the same base, conjoined at the base to a moving set of leaves.
