While most of Clan Fahgi lean towards drama, Bastian is outright abusive. He is more aggressive and violent than most of his clanmates, and the only leniency he shows is to pregnant women - but once the child is born, the mother instantly becomes a target again. Beyond the regular tactic of revealing himself as an incubus and stealing his newborn children away only to start a new romance with another woman in town, he cheats on his partners openly throughout the entire relationship, often destroying anything they may own that signifies sentimentality towards anyone but himself. He is also more likely to commit random murder than most of his kin.

He has broached the subject of an alliance between clans Fahgi and Hrienth several times, as he sometimes works in tandem with them, but has been deemed by his own clan to be too untrustworthy to be part of the actual negotiations. Despite this, many Fahgi-clan Cubi are in favor of the alliance.

Bastian does not participate in the mass conversions, but dies before the extinction of the clan.
