Giving gifts is a big thing for me. I don't like to give money and I feel terrible if all I can offer is best wishes or the like. To me, to show I care about someone I get them something. This can be something i bought, made, or already had. To me, this means I've been thinking about you and the more I can surprise you the better the gift is. Vice versa, if someone gives me something it's not taken lightly. It's something to treasure and means they have been thinking about me while I'm not there.
