Another of my Schoolism assignments, this time for
y-foxy
This assignment involved using photo elements, which is not something I'm normally comfortable with, but the whole point of these classes is to get familiar with things I'm uncomfortable with, so I tried to embrace it.
The photo was actually taken by me, off of my front porch, and can be found here for anyone curious - https://twitter.com/rukiscroax/media
Obviously, the colors are cranked all over the place to create the ridiculous, fantastical sky there, and I completely changed the tree line, the clouds, and added the little hill. The fox was painted entirely from scratch, and I tried to destroy the original photo as much as possible :P So I don't feel too terrible about it. Still. . . not my cup of tea. I'll see how I feel about using this technique in the future.

Uhh, Rukis? Are you sure the whole picture isn't just a stylized photograph? I know you've done some really great stuff in the past, but this fits perfectly into the "Are you sure it isn't a photo?" description.
It may not be your cup of tea, but I absolutely love how it turned out.

That light way off in the distance I assume the moon But makes me more think the opening to SkyHunter for some reason. Maybe it is the unreal oversaturated atmosphere that makes you think this as well, I like the results.
