Founded as a partner company alongside the Australian tech corporation Swiftech, CTI sought to help injuried military personnel by developing prosthetics as well as loaning out factory space to major arms developers. However as the company began to delve further into the realm of cybernetics and open up sectors in the robotics industry, they found themselves sitting atop a financial and technological goldmine. CTI's golden age had only just peeked over the horizon.
By the early 1990s the company was expanding globally at a steady pace, securing varying smaller contracts from western militaries until one of their younger staff members, Julian Cain, presented his new design. The Apex Security Unit Version One. The Apex units were not without their flaws but their creation propelled the company forward, drew investors in.
Suddenly CTI found itself looking into developing long term cybernetic limbs for the military, to allow soldiers to return to the field and began to construct facilities to work on designs for unmanned vehicles alongside the Apex series.
As the years slowly crept into the twenty first century, the company grew and grew, with the completion of the Apex V3 prototype and hundreds of Apex V4s in production the company had become not only the world's largest robotics company but a massive military contractor.
