What a great picture. her expression is great. not many people can pull of an extreme close up like this but you have done it really well. Plus her hair is awesomely well done.
How do you achieve the great multitone effect in the hair?

Awesome thanks! I basically color it normally, giving it highlights and shadows, then come in with dodge and burn with a small brush and high percentage and go all over that shit lol. Dodge in highlight mode and burn in shadows mode. With the smudge tool at 100 percent, I can pull out strands of hair from the original painting, giving it a more real look.

Cool man. Dont overuse them tho, or your picture will look bad. Never use them to create shadows and highlights, just to pull them out a bit and for stuff like, hair :P

awesome work as usual. What I really like is the coloring and the attention to detail. Might be able to get a commision from you next week if I get some money. BTW was this a commision or just a pic in general?
