Mizumai , Snake of the River
Mizumai is a powerful and benevolent Naga who inhabits the river by Mekong. The locals view him as a god, bring him offerings and holding festivals in his name. In return Mizumai brings fresh fish, keeps the river clean and if needed, defend the locals from attack.On the night when the tide is high, he walks the land and commune with the people of the land and may even join in on the festivities.
