Soooo i am participating in Dominance War IV, an art competition involving over 5000 artists and the characters they create. A bit of it is just a popularity contest but i think it will help me get into the mode of creating characters and something fun for me to have as a polished piece of work in the end
so, the character type i chose, was the CLERICON! of the norms. I am going to make it a she, so its a girl who helps people in combat and closes portals to other realms where demons are coming through, or shes a royal guard...im still working on the ideas and what i want to have as a final character...so we will see what i end up choosing! but please let me know what you think of the characters! good comments bad comments! you hate them you love them! any and all feed back is good feed back (trust me it takes a lot to hurt my feelings XD )

I personally enjoy the top right one and the bottom left one, because they both combine heavy ornament while still displaying the femininity beneath. The rest seem more encumbered by their costumes. If the character is supposed to be very mobile, I would keep the ornamentation to a level they can move freely in. All of the detail in the costumes is well done!

and i see what you mean about the costume and how that effects their mobility, tomorrow (with a few other doodles i might do) i will try to put together some more thumbs of some mix and matched costumes : )

dynamic poses will def come! (but i think im gonna wait till i get through the costume design part, so they have a really nice sillouhet to start with, but i think tomorrow at work between concept art im doing, ill whip out some poses, for a few characters and add those.) but yes...soon but not yet! I hope i can continue to entertain with my work!
