I drew and colored this one...This is my character's Pokemon, Brutule
(Original name was Hitoise, but Brutule was suggested as a superior name when I asked Frontierbrain for advice. Thanks!)
Brutule started out as a Squirtle who was the constant companion of my character, Alex. However, throughout their years of partnership, Alex managed to train her Pokemon many fighting moves in addition to its Water-based abilities.
When it evolved from Wartortle to Stage 3, she was pleasantly surprised to find that training it as a fighter revealed an alternate evolution path, into Brutule, the Water/Fighting Type!
Instead of being large and lumbering like Blastoise, Brutule' shell only covers key parts of its body, and can be used both defensively, and as a nasty offensive measure for knees and punches. Its tail has also grown out to provide superior balance and a fifth limb to fight with, and it has managed to retain Blastoise' strength in a much faster and more agile frame. Its head is also more reptilian, providing for a stronger bite and a thicker skull.
Brutule will often find itself fighting alongside Alex, both of them using mixed martial arts moves as well as the occasional water or ice move from Brutule.
