Well as it is, you need to have read the first one, and from what i've heard everyone says NO ONE will publish my book now that its been online. *sighs* i'm really warring with posting all of it on here, and taking some other story to publish, especially since this is so personal for me and my hubby.
I MAY rewrite the whole story, in which case, i think i could sell it since it'll be very different, making this a rough draft....

Quite an interesting story, all told, although the ending was kinda cheezy. The way you brought back Fox sounded like something out of a corny Soap Opera to me. Other than that, excellent writing. You may want to re-consider how you bring him back, or re-consider the scene in which he departed, and alter things so it's not so 'the characters are walking along and someone falls onto them out of a plot hole'ish.
I do like this story you have written. And yes, now that you have posted it on the internet, you're not going to get anyone to publish it. However, this story is of a genre which publishers are simply not looking for right now.
Romance novels are nearly ALWAYS written within very specific limitations, and none of them allow enough variance for Furre characters. To be blunt and honest, there isn't enough readership basis to justify publishing furre romance novels. The market base is too small to turn a profit.
Even Laurell K. Hamilton started off her now infamous Anita Blake series by making it a vamp detective story, which does have a large market base to sell to, and only changing the genre after she got 'tenured' into her series and enough rabid fans who will buy anything she writes reguardless of what it is. These days, they're mostly well-written porn novels, and the Mary Gentry books are nothing but well-dressed porn (come on, the whole plot of the story is 'go screw every guy you meet so you can get preggers and win the unseeligh court'), but she gets away with it because of her popularity. Plus, as everyone knows, sex sells. No one is complaining about her later books because they're selling faster than they can be cranked out. But had she brought that plot to them to begin with, she'd have been rejected, ejected, and dejected.
It's a sad fact that these days, you have to write what publishers are willing to publish. And, unfortunately, there's a lot of stuff they just won't touch, no matter how good it is.

well, there are exception to those rules, for example- i never mentioned going main stream- that's hellishly impossible, but there ARE a couple furry publishers that cator to- get this- FURRIES >^.~<. And if i were to approach anyone it would be them, Every furr knows getting into mainstream is near impossible, especially with our minority.
And the way he came back- planned it that way. I wouldn't have him disapear any other way, as the "magic" is a corny, but essential plot, altho i do admit i could've written both part better, but hey- i wrote this at the end of HS and i've had little if not NO formal training on story writing, >^.~< so i think i'm doing pretty good for starting soph in HS.
Like i said i may go back and rework it, i know the end needs a LOT more fleshing out, maybe even a scene showing foxy returning to the Furry world.
But alas, i'm lazy and this story is a lil close to my heart, and I don't have the energy to devote to reworking the whole thing yet, so its moot point sorta.
Thanks for the advise, tho

What a great ending. *sniff* He came back! I do like a happy conclusion. And now that bit at the start makes sense!
Well I must say this was a fantastic story, Kitten. I was definately sucked into your world. I wasn't planning to finish all the last ones so fast, but I spent all morning at my computer reading them! Great work - you have real talent and I hope that you get the notice you deserve in the future.
*applauds* Yay for true love! =^0^= <3
