They identify as a man or woman or somewhere in between depending on how they feel at the time. They are not a herm, and also please don't use that term, it's harmful and inaccurate.

That doesn't make it right, and that's not what it describes.

The term for humans born with a physical sexual make-up between traditionally male and female is intersex. "Hermaphrodite" is misleading and stigmatizing. It literally only refers to the reproductive function of like, slugs and plants. Hermaphrodites are fully both things.

Neither intersex nor 'herm' (which is used as a slur against intersex and trans people) has anything to do with genderfluid tho. Genderfluid is a gender identity. Genderfluid people can be male, female, neutral, or any other non-binary identity, as well as multi-gender or genderless.
