Maybe he knows one of the girls and was reaching up on stage (which is usually forbidden at strip clubs) and Shred who was also working there knew neither him nor his connection with the girl... just the club rules. So he moved in to stop the contact, only to have the other guard (who also didn't know Shred was hired on to help) tell him to fack off or get thrown out.

...just an idea.
