Chapter 11: New World
Daran and Huraz-Alaz's ship was making it's way to their destination of Nubia. The young Nelvaanian had studied up on the planet. It had been desolated until settlers had caused water from beneath the surface to pop up. The long growing season meant it was agricultural and there were mines as well. The whole place worked hard and played hard. The reason these two Jedi were headed here was to check on the condition of the pumps and other areas of water. Although there were sure to be those who could, this would be good experience for the young female.
Upon landing they got out and the Nelvaanian was shocked by what she saw. There were lights, music, and so many buildings with people going into them for entertainment. "I don't believe it…" she whispered.
"It's like Coruscant in some ways," stated her master. "Now come. We must head to a place to stay before heading out. We'll need time to figure out where things are.'
"Yes Master." Both of them were able to find one to stay at. Even with the entertainment, both Jedi were able to sleep easily. During the next few days they studied up on the area, seeing which had the problems that needed to be looked into. Of course getting their wasn't the problem. It was getting in that was. After all not everyone could. And the fact that the government was a shady one, this made the planet a bit dangerous. Huraz-Alaz had a feeling that a fight or two may happen. Hopefully she and her master would be able to get in and out with no problem.
