With the blade now created, Mewlt is now ready to fight!
In my stories, Mew, Mewtwo, and Mewlt all have the power to channel their powers in such a way to make them physical.
While Mew and Mewtwo can channel their holy and Shadow energy respectively in their hands to form immaterial blades, Mewlt lack such a skill and require a vessel (usually a knife or a stick) to create such a blade.
Why take the time to create such blades? Well... melee combat sometimes just cannot be avoided and in such a case, fighting with an energy blade is more convenient that using just its bare hands (or claws, in the Mews' case).
An energy blade technically does the same type of damage that the energy that make it up and its sharpness as well as the amount of harmful radiations that strike the foe when a blow is delivered vary on the amount of energy channelled and on the vessel used. A knife, for exemple, will generate a stronger blade than a stick.
