I tried a to do a like-like! Tried some things, not too happy overall, but hey, I learned. I like like-likes, but maybe I just don't "like" like this like-like.
Please let me know if you like-like what I'm doing!! I'd love to hear if you have good ideas too! ^v^

I like likw what you're doing with this fella, but I've never been super huge on them. But then again I think it was cause in the game they always felt kinda creepy in that they slowly make their way to you. I always kinda find that unsettling on a certain level.
Though this goes look pretty good, kinda thinking those are talons in his maw though (could be wrong but I don't know like, that much about like-likes) xD
Keep it up <3

Understandable! But I think it's going to be fairly obvious as this series goes on, I like creepy things. The Novistadors from RE4 are on the list, for example. ;>
Those are gauntlets, Link is trying to hold the squish open but failing 'cuz it's a gameover. <:
Thank you!! ^v^

Yay, I am so happy you made this picture, and so quick too. Most people cannot make a picture a day to the quality you can! Such an inviting maw! When I was young I played lots of Ocarina of Time and especially Majora's Mask, and I always found myself fascinated by Like-Likes in particular, especially the big ones at Great Bay on the beach at night in Majora's Mask. Just something about the way they move towards you slowly, their sounds -- such as their groaning sound when they lunge at you as well as their rhythmic gurgly sounds as they perform their derpy dance of digestion -- and the way they suck you in and slosh you around in them was always very appealing to me before I even knew what vore was. I would just fill my bottles with fairies and watch in fascination as I let them eat me over and over again until I lost all my health and fairies! They're a very nostalgic pred for me, perhaps my first one ever, and I really do have a place in my heart for them.
Also, since you said you wanted more recommendations... well, if you played Metroid before, a Warrior Ing from the under-loved Metroid Prime 2 deserves so much more attention than it does, or Kraid from Metroid Zero Mission or Super Metroid. Another candidate could be a Bloodborne werewolf such as the regular variety, the Cleric Beast, or Vicar Amelia, since feral, beastly wolves never seem to get love compared to "furry" anthro wolves. Additionally, as another variant of Baba from Zelda aside from the Deku and Boko varieties, a Baba Serpent from Twilight Princess, the red kind that loves to grab Link in their jaws and chew/suck him off are another choice. Another suggestion could be GLaDOS from Portal, Metal Gear Sahelanthropus from Metal Gear Solid V, a Deathclaw from Fallout, or a Cacodemon from DOOM 2016.
Lastly, while unrelated to the Like-Like picture itself, I wanna say that I frankly love your Dragonbro Invader character and they've actually been on my mind all day, so I'd delight in seeing more art of him later on, maybe after the Game Over and Underlooked theme is over.

That's very nice of you to say! I may take another crack at a like-like sometime, because I'm not completely happy with it.
Thanks so much for sharing your story, too!! I used to do the exact same thing in Majora's Mask! Another super cool thing about them was that they launched you so much higher than the like-likes from Ocarina of Time, so as a kid it was extremely fun to lure them into spitting me all the way into the water! It wasn't my first pred though... that goes to the fish from Mario 64. And I was TERRIFIED of it. XD
I do want to do some metroid stuff for sure! I love the designs in it. Bloodborne is admittedly a series I hadn't thought of, despite it being so closely related to the Souls series! Feral beasty wolves are always super fun. ^v^
And now that you mention it, I'd love to make this into a recurring character! I like the idea of him using a drake-sword and purposefully staying at a low level to troll/eat weaker and newer players. X>

Hehe! I should try seeing how far out into the ocean a Like-Like can spit me in Majora's Mask sometime! I was also pretty terrified by some of the preds I was into as a kid, probably because I didn't understand my feelings towards them. The Boko Babas on Forest Haven in Wind Waker were also something I would repeatedly feed myself to, and even in games that lacked creatures that could eat the player, I just submitting to letting certain monsters that had appealing maws or overall physical appearances attack me so I had a chance to get close and ogle them, which always cause me to blush like crazy. >////<
I'm also really happy to hear you approve of the idea of making the Dragonbro into a recurring character! I like the sound of your idea; that sounds like an easy source of fresh meat to fill his tummy and satisfy all his desires on defenseless newcomers who would no doubt be stunned just to see a creature of his majesty for the first time! He'd have plenty of opportunities to play with his food, so to speak, and trick or mess with unsuspecting victims!

I remember being so sad that the boko babas never pulled you into their mouths completely! But then there were those flowers you could jump into that made gurgly noises, so that was kinda cool!
And yeah, I was terrified of the fish from Mario 64, as well as several other predators (like the hydra in disney's Hercules). To this day I sometimes have nightmares about the fish from Mario 64, even though when I'm awake, I love it, haha!

The things you're referring to in the first dungeon of Twilight Princess are actually called Deku-Likes!
And as for the eel from Mario 64 (and from Mario Sunshine which I played much more than Mario 64 when I was younger), I think that eel in all its incarnations, and to a lesser extent the Eels at Pinnacle Rock from Majora's Mask actually gave me a phobia of swimming/diving in video games. Recently, when playing the Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4, I found myself utterly terrified to swim out and explore underwater, and I figure that Mario and Zelda games are the reason why.

Hehehe! I am delighted to hear that! That reminds me of how the Metroid Queen in Metroid: Other M has a very detailed stomach and throat model too! It's such a rare thing to see in games, well, aside from levels like Jabu-Jabu's belly in Ocarina of Time, but that's a bit different because it's not exactly snug or realistic.
