On this "Throwback Thursday" - during my latest 'sweeps month' (September, 2016) - I have yet another car-related 'photo-op', taken by my brother Glenn with his smartphone's camera...
As mentioned in a previous photo-op about a pink limousine made from the bodies of several Mini-Coopers - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/21092874/ - my brother's own Mini-Cooper was on the verge of reaching a 'personal best'...
Well, on Saturday, September 17, 2016, Glenn and I spent some 'quality time' together, driving to Fort Lauderdale for the day (checking out the Galleria Mall and having lunch at a Krystal Burgers restaurant). On the way home, we took turns checking out the digits on his car's odometer, until they finally reached 099,999 (in the city of North Lauderdale). Pulling off into a side street, my sibling whipped out his smartphone and took a picture of the numbers on said odometer, and then resumed our homeward journey...
As soon as we'd passed the major intersection of McNab Road and Rock Island Road, the digital numbers on said odometer finally rolled over to 100,000. Pulling into a shady area of a Walgreen's parking lot, Glenn took another snapshot of the odometer - to officiate the milestone his vehicle had achieved (after ownership of the Mini-Cooper for eleven years - averaging about 9,000 miles per year).
Glenn was just as delighted to have me join him on that day, than he was to see his car make the big rollover. And (to save time), I've attached both 'photo-ops' of his odometer as one big presentation!
I'll have one more pic of Glenn's car, momentarily...
