Callous cerulean skies -
a facade of crisp lies:
Takes the populace by surprise,
when thunder thooms anyway.
Out of the norm - taken by storm,
News reports and live tweeting swarm,
Snap shot street devouring paws,
Shaky footage of colossal jaws,
A driver who narrowly swerves,
From a glance too long at feminine curves;
The city quakes, its foundation shakes,
With every motion her passage makes.
Hair a billowing blaze of skyward fire,
Brow furrowed under the weight of ire,
Heterochromatic eyes scan, surmise,
Teal and blue – seethe when they settle on you,
The sour taste of your own tongue,
in panicked breaths it swims among,
The gale of voiceless heaving,
dreading the attention you’re receiving,
And the very weight of that seismic stare,
threatens to pierce and pin you there.
But the engine roars – the pedal implores -
You slam that paw flat to the floor.
Pour yourself across the asphalt river,
Pray you’ve enough horsepower to deliver,
From the figure mirrored in a high rise,
Who closes in with each earth rattling bound.
All the kings horses and all the kings men,
Should have known better than to assemble when,
Pitted against odds so obscene;
It makes them seem like plastic figurines.
Tanks get no thanks – swept aside,
Assault rifles can’t dent furry hide,
and barriers stepped over inconsiderately,
get casually crushed by debris.
Unstoppable, undeterred,
Wrath given form and furred,
So you gun it - try to out run it;
Hoping to evade the apocalypse hot on your heels,
Looks like
mentova is racing against more just than time.
Hope he doesn't run out of road.
An astounding piece by
Shnider inspired by some back and forth twitter chats and destructive looma-dog muses. His grasp on architecture and reflective surfaces really comes together in this digitally painted master piece that Sofia is oh so passionately laying waste to.

Beautiful picture you got there! I stumbled onto this artist some time ago and planned on commissioning them once they were available and this has solidified this desire by a lot. I'm downright jealous <3
But what makes me even more jealous is your little poem going with it. It's always nice to read what you have to tell about your commissions and gifts.
Edit: Just now noticed the link! Improves the whole thing even more by giving it a distinct rhythm!!

Shnider is simply darling to work with. Their pacing of updates is not as immediate or regimented as some artists - but the results speak for themselves. As long as you are okay with allowing them to work at their own rate you will have a great experience with them. They sorely undercharge, so tip appreciatively!
I usually hold onto works until I have a suitably inspired accompaniment - be that full length story or short poem. Macro stuff usually works better with 'relatively' small exert poetry to hit the high notes. Dance with the Dead has some really thunderous, energetic beats and that particular song inspired the original idea of this piece - so it was only fitting to write to!
If you ever want a short scribble for one of your own pieces, I'd love the challenge of writing to suit Cora and your whimsy. She's super neat and distinctive!

I LOVE destructive looma-dog muses! :D I wish more of them existed, but that's just being greedy fen. :3 I was waiting for when you would post this so I can read the beautiful words that accompany it--both for the elegance of your mind on words, and also just for my love of macro Sofia. <.<
Your poems really do add that treat to an already tasty flavor. My compliments to you and Shnider. . <3

Damn, this is something fierce! Makes me think of something you'd see in an actual anime - if there were furry animes, at least - because they can get away with scenes like this over there. And all the backgrounds would be beautifully painted and soon beautifully smashed, and it'd be pretty as hell.
Also, in an above comment, you mentioned Shinder having prices, but I can't see any on his page. Is there anything I should know about that? I'd like to check but I'd rather not waste his time if possible.
