Hope (Not based on a true story that i know of)
It was a dark, stormy night. The clouds seemed to be dancing with the lightning, the rain, fell majestically as the lightning reflected upon it in such a manner that I almost can’t describe. The world almost looked like it was being reborn, or maybe even ending. I just sat there and watched it from my bedroom window, wondering about my life, contemplating, asking myself what I might do with my life. I don’t talk, I don’t have a girlfriend, and I don’t have a job, my life is empty, has no meaning, “Why?” I asked myself in hopes the world might answer, just then daylight broke through the clouds, the rain stopped, and a rainbow of iridescent colors appeared. I took it as a sign of hope, hope that will only go away if we give up. I slept that night peacefully. Tomorrow I went to school, met someone new, we talked, I got a date with her that same day, and two hours later I landed myself a job as a writer.
