After sometime thinking, I think I should also advertise my song in FA, too.
This is my newest track, "Hati Ke Hati" (Malay for "Heart to Heart"), which I've finished writing about 1-2 weeks ago. It was written in FL Studio, which I've bought since December 2008. This is the "radio edit" version, for preview purposes. The good news is that the full 8 1/2-minute version of this song can be found in my SoundClick page: http://www.soundclick.com/marwangreencritter/
The bad news? It's a pay-per-download song. Sorry, but current financial situations I'm facing means that I'll have to start making a living out of my own songs. x_x (Rest assured that I do not write music for money... That's what pop songs are. >_>)
Also, sorry for the quality. x_x That's the consequence for allowing a song of mine being pay-per-download. Regardless, I do hope that you enjoy the song, anyway.

Ha, I knew it! You're a jerkass, as usual. XDDD Thanks for the harsh criticism which I deliberately ignored for the sake of artistic freedom.
Actually, I did side-chained the bass. I learned that from observing the way other songs were written via utilizing Fruity Peak Controller, which controls the loudness of the lower frequencies. The main purpose is to reduce audio clipping as both the bass and the kickdrum were played together at the same time, and also to avoid the bass from dominating the song too much. If you can't notice it, then that's because I've adjusted it in such a way that it's not that much noticeable. (Some people love the bass-pumping effect and used it to death... I don't, at least not that much.)

Dangit, not with the "no that's not what I meant" thing again. -_- Look, I don't care what you've said. I don't want to side-chain the main melody at all, because I feel that it doesn't need it. I tried side-chaining the main melody before, and it came out blah to my ears, so I removed the side-chaining effect.
You gotta respect other artists' artistic visions, too (which, from my experience, you obviously won't, anyway).

Sorry, it's just that I do get genuinely offended when you told me that this song is not my best effort. =_=;; (3 months spent while writing this song not considered my best effort? By the way, my mother scolded me for the way I reacted to your comment.) Considering how bad my older songs were, I really do felt that this was my best effort ever. Oh well... There will always be some people I will never surpass, no matter how hard I try; The best I can do is to constantly keep-up with them.
You're slowly reaching the point where I need to see you as an competitor. xD Really nice song(-snippet). =)
About the sider-chaining thing: I usually sidechain the whole mix and basses and pads even a bit more. It stresses the kick more and makes an overall more powerful sound. Reduction is usually about 5dB max. But your song also sounds good without it. :)

Thanks. ^_^;; I didn't side-chain the melody and the rest of the song elements, because I felt that there is no need to do so for this song. Yes, I'm aware that side-chaining also helps making the kickdrum sound more powerful than it really is, as I've heard from many other trance songs like . For this song, I side-chained the bass just so that it gets out of the way of the kickdrum whenever it's triggered, reducing the audio-clipping problem.
