Man!! It's been hard to make comics lately because I've become something of a domestic goddess myself! I made some awesome fruit leather and then some even more awesome chocolate zucchini bread, and like a million curries with the vegetables from the garden. This was supposed to be the summer of comics but it ended up being the summer of tons of other awesome things! Never forget to take the time to care for yourself and others!!

OH MAN fruit leather is the most delicious thing! It's fruit paste that's been spread into a very thin layer and then baked so it gets a sort of leathery texture. Like very soft jerky but with fruit?? If you've ever eaten a Fruit by the Foot roll-up it's THAT but made with actual fruit instead of literal candy
Is fruit leather the predecessor of modern fruit snacks? I always figured it came first.
I love dried fruits. My aunt was always a fan of dehydrating tons of fruit before we visited her because she didn't want us hyperactive on candy. And it worked. As long she kept up the supply of dried banana slices, apricots, and apples, we did whatever she said. Most of which came from a neighbor's trees.
