ugh... i hate them... i call those ones 'screamers' because they always make this bloodthirsty murdering scream when they attack. and i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the 'spider hosts' that throw poison ones at you

Yeah, they can be pretty annoying. Luckily they most often come alone, and so can't really kill you unless you let them hit you.
And a grenade or three usually takes them down just fine.

Sometimes if there was nothing around except a poison headcrab, I'd just stand there and let it hit me over and over again, since it couldn't actually kill me. I like to think I made his day. n_n

The headcrabs in the "They Hunger" mod for Half-Life say "found you" when they first see you. It was both very creepy and kind of lame at the same time (you don't exactly expect them to talk).

poke646 rocked! did you ever play rocket crowbar? They even made a mod for source, but it was so buggy that they didn't really try to get people to know about it. I played the source version and wish they had kept at it, had some cool weapons..

what mods do you play for source games?

the only ones i really play are fistful of frags (western) and synergy (co op)

I haven't played Rocket Crowbar, but I just looked for it... sounds interesting, but as only a weapon mod I'd still have to go through the original game, which I've done plenty enough times...

As for source, I have Synergy installed but have only played it once, but it was pretty good. I've also played Awakening and Rock 24, both of which I can remember being at least decent, but can't really recall what either was about, heh...

rocket crowbar was a multiplayer mod, where you could have cool weapons, and even morph into things like a headcrab, gargantua, and some soret of robot cat. It was pretty sick. makes me want to install the old half life again..
