I had to get some community service for my science class, so I set up to get all the hours I need done at the recycling center. Honestly it was more fun than I thought, easy too. I just helped people sort their recycling stuff and put cardboard in a press. The other workers there were seniors and some of the funnest strangers I ever met.
When we found a wheel chair for recycling, one of the old men took it and joked about pretending to be cripple. The jokes he made were pretty funny.
The best part is that when you don't have anything to do there, you can go diving for treasure, it's honestly amazing how many things are recycled. Plastic toys, metal parts, static-y Styrofoam, EVEN Books.
If anyone has a recycling center near by, I'd recommend checking it out.
