Some variation on this, you might a little thing of tomato paste. :)

You know, most people look up recipes first and buy what they need for them, not the other way around. :P
The only way I've liked eggplant baking or frying them with cheese (usually parm) and breadcrumbs, using some beaten eggs to stick it all together. Bunch of recipes online for eggplant parmesan if you're interested.
You got garlic and potatoes? Garlic mashed potatoes man! Also since you got a bunch of potatoes if you like baked potatoes it's super easy to just rub them with oil and salt then toss them in the oven (wrap them in foil for softer skin, no foil for crispy skin).
For the lentils, lentil soup is pretty easy and works with basically any vegetables. Here's an example: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/13978/lentil-soup/
Since you got cornmeal you basically have to make corn bread, right? You can toss one of those jalapenos in there to give it some kick: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/230999.....eno-cornbread/
Really though, if you buy good food you can do basically whatever you want with it, you don't have to get real fancy with anything. I just hope all that cooking leaves you with some time to write!

Hehe, I was more wanting to be adventurous with what I bought. I normally look up recipes before I make the trip, but this time I was feeling up for some craziness.
Planning on putting a light pickle on a few things, like the carrots and cabbage. Got to get some fake sauerkraut going you know XD! Cornbread is high on the list and I think I might dice half a jalapeno into one for some zest.
I have done plenty of bean soups and I loves me some garlic mash potatoes and I love the baked potato.
Mostly looking to figure some stuff out and see how far I can make one trip last and only using what I bought not the rest of my stuff (seriously I had a full pantry).
As for writing, I am going to get down and do something in a bit once I finish up the mantos from the next picture and will cut back a bit on my pokemon game next week to work on some writing. Got so much stuff to finish XD.
Anyways thanks for the suggestions, now if only I had some parmesan cheese. Bread crumbs I can make, I got flour!
I do plan on making some hard tack with the flour, gonna see if I can chew it XD

Ha, nice! Sounds like you've got some good stuff going on. You've definitely doing more stuff than I usual do in a week. You don't necessarily need parm for the eggplants though, really any cheese would work.
And you're really doing hard tack? Damn man, alright if you want to but it's not like people ate it because they wanted to, they just did because it would keep a long time. And properly made it definitely keeps a long time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga5JrN9DrVI
Anyway, good luck with everything!

Hehe, yeah I know about the hard tack. That one is more about can I make it myself just in case and to have that emergency backup food if that makes sense. I had about 3 months of my life where I was literally eating scraps from work and that was about it cause I was too broke to have anything else so knowing A. how to cook and B how to cook stuff that lasts for freaking ever is a great set of skills to have. Also, I love historical stuff so I love cooking old old food just to see what it tasted like.
Eggplants are nice :D
A simple recipe?
well, mince the garlic and ginger, fry with oil, add the chopped eggplant, vegs, and ground beef, fry till cooked. If you want you can go boil the lentils n beans till soft and add those in as well in the later stage of the stir fry.
serve with rice (boil till fluffy).
Well it's a rather typical asian stir-fry but hey it solves most food planning issues :D
