Ta da!!! :D
After several months of work, and multiple complications, I've finally finished the sculpture of Sorona! And wow did she ever come out epic!
She has one of the largest wingspans I've ever made to this date, and I was afraid I didn't reinforce her armature enough to support them when I started adding the fabric to them. But when they were done they still held their shape well enough to hold a pose. They aren't as posable as my other's though, because of that little elbow finger she has, and her hooked thumb claw. Her stand was 100% hand made using Ihavenoideahowmanybeads and some cool gold crystals I had bought a few months ago. :)
Baking her was a brutal task, because of her particular pose. You see, I couldn't stick her stand in the oven because the support structure under it would've melted and ruined everything. So I had to use tinfoil and elbow grease to make her hold that pose in the over while baking. Several times she tipped over and the result was a big fat crease in her sides. I have no idea how much sanding I did on her. XD
Some of her unique features:
-Her necklace is removable, so you can see her scars around her neck when you take it off, or leave it on to hide them. The front piece is a little loose when equipped, but if you finagle it a little bit it stays put.
-She has a total of 42 plates on her underbelly. I made sure to put them all on there, as it was a key detail mentioned in her reference sheet.
This was another commission taken over dA for my sensi Sorona Sulea. :D

Thanks for taking an interest in my work. ^_^
I just used a basic satin fabric, attainable from just about any fabric or hobby store. One side of it is matte and rough, the other is smooth and shiny.
After the sculpture is baked and painted, I use hot glue to attach the flexible wings to the remaining exposed armature. :)
I have quite a few WIP shots on my dA account. I won't upload them here for sake of saving a gallery flood.
You can find my WIP shots here:

And here's a (very out-dated) tutorial I made that shows a more detailed process of how I make my sculptures. :)
