LONG TIME NO SEE!

As part of me getting back into being active, I'm gonna start off by posting stuff up every day for Inktober!!
This is my first time actually doing Inktober, so I'm pretty pumped!

Not only that, but October is also the month of the World Lemur Festival -- in lieu of which, it has officially been declared HALLOWLEEM!!

I'll be drawing a different species of lemur every day, PLUS posting rad facts with each one!
So KEEP UP, FURBIES, and learn ya' a thing or two about these awesome little primates!!

FACT #1:
Lemurs are the most endangered group of mammals on Earth!! [Source]
Not only that, but they may even be among the most endangered of ALL VERTEBRATE LIFE FORMS.
Out of nearly 110 total lemur species, only SIX are NOT classified as either vulnerable, threatened, or endangered -- that's over 90% of their entire taxonomic tree!
Even the Ring-tailed lemur, the most famous species, is considered Endangered & is expected to go extinct within the next 25 years.


If you love these guys (and, c'mon-- who doesn't??) and would like to help, consider:
1. Raise awareness!! Spread the word about how badly these guys need help!
2. DRAW LEMURS!! Join us for #Hallowleem and the #WorldLemurFestival by drawing a lemur & sharing it online (along with information about how endangered they are!)
And 3. DONATE! The Lemur Conservation Network is a great way to look up different organizations, so you can find the perfect one to donate to!

I'll be posting more Inktober lemurs (as well as some lemur characters, that'll be sold for donations to LCN organizations) throughout the month, to do my part!!
