so I've had this drawing for... ATLEAST 2 years now half finished so I figured it might be about time I got around to post the half finished reference sheets for a change. '
here we have the charismatic rebel leader Roberto Gonzales, his mayor strenghts lies to his ablity to win over crowds and sweet talk his opposition. Problem is just that like many politians Roberto really enjoyes to be in the spot light and be well liked and will avoid like the plague any situation where he has to take the blame for a unpopular decisions. Luckly he has Pablo who handles that part of the leadership. Roberto is known to mingle with the common soldiers and to be both a womanizer and "mananizer" who ever catches his fancy.
There are a few expressions here I'm not pleased with that won't be shown in the finished version (when ever that will be posted) which are the talking one in the middle and the angry one. I just don't feel I got the head looking right so I might redraw most of the expressions.

this ref pic looks cool, even though you might not like all of the faces, they however have a certain style that makes them very unique.
Some of Roberto´s faces remind me of Preed from Don Bluth´s Titan A. E. I could imagine to have Nathan Lane as Roberto´s voice actor, it would fit him very well
(Nathan Lane performed said Preed from Titan A. E. and also Timon from Disney´s Lion King^^)
