Looking at your blobguys gives me an idea. :P
A blobguy species that "eats" its victims, converting most of their body into its own slimey mass, but having their feet left alone. In fact, it makes their feet protrude out of its body so it can have fun tickling its victim's feet. Even though most of their body has been turned to slime, the blobguy hears the victim's laughter from within, and can even turn some of the slime that came from them into the victims' heads.
