Kaa treated me to a guest pass on his annual membership, and we toured the Denver Zoo together. I shot pictures of just about everything, including this very nice metal monitor lizard. It was a quite detailed sculpture! The full gallery of picrures can be found here: http://gallery.me.com/burmese/100011
If you want a camera raw jpg file, just ask! They're too big to post them all on the server.

tee he he :)
It was one of three VERY well scuplted bronze statues, for the small life size ones. There was also a nice bird of prey and the gator from the entry way. I would totally believe it if someone told me it was live cast from a real animal.
Easy to photograph too, not moving and no fence in the way!

Have you been to the reptile house at San Diego Zoo? It is also super wow. I have a bunch of photos but all on film, my last visit was in 2001. Not as many exhibits in Denver as SD, however, the presentation in Denver is nicer, and more interesting. The siamese crocodiles, kimodo dragons, and anaconda were the big boys, and nice highlights for Denver. I lub me sum giant scalies :)
