Beyond glitch patching I dont imagen much "problems" being dealt with in Destiny 1, Bungie already shifted focus on 2, leaving only a bare minimum skeleton crew to keep Destiny going until next year.

True, i'm hoping for at least a more complete story like we got in taken king to happen in destiny2. other than that yeah.....

Well if the recent leaks are to go by (and they are leaks from a guy who's been almost scary accurate everytime he leaks a game) Bungie are planing to have a completely different story direction, pacing and structure in Destiny 2.

Heck the current director of Destiny 2 is the guy who directed the taken king DLC.

Interesting ways they're going to focus (esp. about the cabal), also i like the idea that the hubs/towns are going to be incorporated in more natural ways. i do wonder what will happen to the fallen though >_> i always felt like some of them could be redeemed, but ah well. thank you again!

Have either of you heard about the fact that Destiny's original storyline and secondary ideas were scrapped, and a group of story writers(probably Activision because Bungie knows how to write a storyline imo) took the TtK story writer's stuff and smashed it all together. This is probably why "The Stranger" seems like a main character and uses random tech we aint heard of, and appears to be a main character, but does absolutely nothing except give you a cool gun you'll use for like 3 hours :v

And if this is new news to you, look up Destiny's lost story. Stuff should pop up relating to what I'm talking about.

(And yes the guy who made the current DLC storylines was Destiny 1's original story creator)

ah yes i've heard about it many times. so wish the original story was the one we saw in the game. thought it does concern me that the reddit user who leaked this info wasn't impressed by the original story when he played it. personally, i don't think bungie is good mingling stories into videogames but they are masterful at worldbuilding. So who knows what the original story would have done. I'd like to think it would have been better (the idea of the traveler being the true villain just makes SENSE and works so i hope destiny2 implements this), but yeah....

Such a shame....overall though we'll have to wait and see if bungie learns from this (or rather activision).

I remember seeing a video on the Fallen and he Traveler and apparently Variks spoke of the Traveler shutting off and pretty much leaving them, as if they had their own Golden Age, then the Traveler "shut off" just like it has for us on earth :o So it's villanous backstory is still there :O

yeah for sure, lots of people want the fallen redeemed cause their story mimics our own. hopefully it'll happen in destiny 2 or they might delay it and focus on the cabal as it is looking like what will happen

Perhaps they'll do a slight story relation to the Halo series, you can already see how the Flood and SIVA relate in some ways :o and if they made the fallen slowly transition to becoming alkies, it would relate to the Halo 2 story with the sangheili allying with the humans :°

We shouldn't get our hopes up too much because Activision is still also making Destiny 2 I'm pretty sure :P
