tigercloud flying through space to kick butts with stardust
Here it is - the big, small project. Big because it's literally huge and small because it took me less than most full colour pieces.
I had a bunch of acrylic paints and thick cardboard that was gathering dust for some time now. I always been at war with acrylic, I could never learn to use that crap, I couldn't understand how can one use it and like it. Not like oils, well oil paint is still the ultimate medium to me. But for this one time I could really play with it, with no pressure from school or anywhere, it was either throw away that paint or try once more to have fun with it. First I did a smaller portrait around A3 size and then this.
A few days later when I was getting a sketchbook in an artstore I got also four more colours of acrylic paint to upgrade my palette a bit ^^.
How many times you must try a thing to find out a way that you will like.
A fun piece with tons of issues that could be improved but hell. I'm an acrylic person now x'3.
When I find out a way to "frame" this, I want to submit it to Eurofurence Artshow next year :D. Another experiment.

I don't know if you have heard of game Undertale, but in soundtrack of this game there is a track called: "Bird That Carries You Over A Disproportionately Small Gap" and I found it similar to the title of this great piece of art :D
p.s. There is also a track called: "Can You Really Call This A Hotel, I Didn't Receive A Mint On My Pillow Or Anything" so...... :D

Creative titles ftw! Better this than call it tiger in space or i dunno, cosmic tiger - sounds so lame. There was a person on dA who used to call their drawings with something totally crazy and silly, I was just browsing their gallery in search of such names x3.

Well totally. But for me I think both Winsor&Newton and Daler-Rowney would be great x'3. I only dont buy those cheapest at the art stores, terrible pigment and texture, unable to use on their own(maybe for underpaint for studies).
What I didn't like about acrylics is that they dry faster than I paint :P, that was my issue at first.

I say that few things makes as goos star affect as brush-brushings x3 <3 There's just so much about this piece that needs proper words.... words that I barely posses, but one day I will do it justice. Maybe when I can see it in first hand :3
