a lil backstory is that jesse is from a Big City™ where he was exploited until things went bad for the stabilishment owner. After that he just kinda of walked aimlessy until ending up in a desert, finding (or being found by) his best friend n there he could de-stress, learn about the world and about himself. it is a cozy setting to think abt
