*cue hype music to Bandits Breakdown logo and transitions to the the hosts*
Hiddson: Hello and welcome to another post game edition of Bandits Breakdown! Your one stop shop for all things Las Vegas Bandits. Brett Hiddson with Terrence Thursday and Issabelle Holt on the sidelines. Terry this is it! The Las Vegas Bandits finally get a shot at the defending Furry Bowl Champions, the New York Titans.
Thursday: Safe to say the Bandits, let alone the rest of the league put the targets on the Titans back. They want to play their best here and maybe be another team to take the reigning champs down a peg.
Hiddson: No need to sell it anymore than that folks, straight to the highlights!
*cue highlights showing the Titans first drive*
Hiddson: First quarter action at the Polo Grounds and Joe Bowers looking to pass but Sacked By Rudolfo Paulson! Next play... Bowers... Looking for Des Widmore and a beautiful catch over Captain Quick! Touchdown Titans up 7-0 after the 43 yard bomb.
Thursday: Great play by the defense disguising the coverage to send Paulson on the blitz but another easier blitz to read was more than enough to make the Bandits pay the next play for the touchdown.
Hiddson: the Titans wouldn't stop there, Marus trying his paws with Widmore and the nearly the same result 38 yard gain but Hopper with the touchdown saving tackle. Two plays later Bowers finds Matari with a great pass in the corner. 14-0 Titans lead it.
Thursday: Yeah the Titans off to a great start, especially on defense keeping the Bandits offense from scoring and taking more 3 and outs than they'd hope for.
Hiddson: Second half action now and the Bandits look like they need a break when...
KLVB Radio: First good drive for the Bandits this game. 1st and 10 from the Titans 28.. Stapler drops back to pass, pumps once … going long for Viridi-Aqua... And got it! Touchdown Bandits! A 28 yard strike and the Bandits are finally on the board!
Hiddson: Thanks once again from our friends at KLVB Radio. But that wouldn't stop there...
KLVB Radio: Bowers looking to fan the storm on 1st down after the Bandits get the touchdown. Drops back, pressured by the Brown and Inman, has to toss to his check down Sierr-- INTERCEPTED By Kelly Rowe! And she's got a lane after stiff arming Sierra away... Carson and Hopper leading a convoy and She could... make... it... to... the house! TOUCHDOWN BANDITS! A 72 yard pick six. And the Bandits are looking to tie the game!
Hiddson: And they would with Cooper's good pat. Nice play by the Middle Linebacker, Terry.
Thursday: Yes staying close enough to Issac Sierra to jump any chance of a checkdown pass and she ends up tying the game. Two touchdowns in two minutes.. Hopefully the shot in the arm they need to take over the game.
Hiddson: Next possion and Bowers learned from his mistake and goes to his initial target... Widmore for 32 Touchdown Titans retake the lead 21-14. Next Bandits possession would be trouble. Stapler looking to convert the third down through the air and Sacked hard by William Tancreti... and Stapler remains down.
Thursday: Looking like his shoulder, Brett. If that is he'll miss a good amount of time. And the Bandits need him and the rest of the offense to click.
Hiddson: Well now Andre Williams has to be the next fur in... and needless to say the Titans Defense was more or less licking their chops to the chance. Fourth quarter action now Williams, looking for Viridi-Aqua... but it's picked off by Thomas Sanders. Titans would take advantage with a touchdown.. Desmond Widmore with the touchdown grab the next possession. 3 touchdown catches for Desmond. Hard to stop once he gets going, Terry.
Thursday: Yeah... mix great passes, with great catches. Even the best defenders cant keep a guy like him down for that long.
Hiddson: Williams however not so much, though he's doing his best given the situation. But Thomas Sanders says “hello” again picking off Andre's pass, this time intended for Blaine Vernon his checkdown.... Just a nightmare game for the Bandits... 34-14 your final and the top story is the health of Sylvester Stapler. Here's Coach Erinia with the status.
*transitions to the post game interview with Francesco Erinia talking over the mic with reporters off screen*
Erinia: Training staff has confirmed... that his non-throwing shoulder has been dislocated... we'll check the MRIs if there's any more damage. If not, I'm sure he'll want it popped back in place as much as anyone so he can get back.... For other matters... we gotta game to prepare for and Andre will be ready for North Florida.
Hiddson: Dislocated shoulder for Sylvester Stapler, not as bad as we saw it on the field. Lets hope he can get a speedy recovery back. We'll take a short break but when we return. More reaction to this game and a look at the Bandits next opponent the North Florida Renegades.
