racoonwolf I highly recommend checking out his stuff if you haven't already. His paintings are just excellent to behold, and I love his urban scenes, so I did an urban scene of his character.

Thank you grim! I am particularly attracted to the vibrant situations reality presents. Rainy urban environments are especially scintillating in my head, because my vision IRL has really strong halos around everything at night. It's mostly a flaw for anything useful (like reading, judging distance) but it's made me really enjoy high dynamic range situations like that.
Cheers! It was definitely tough. I employed some tricks to get the diagonal tile to fade away in perspective (used a diamond pattern of guide lines I made and transformed into a trapezoid aligned with some perspective lines I made). I was envisioning a viewer eye with zero barrel distortion so all vertical and horizontal bits are just "as is" without any other perspective points. The last street scene I did that was similar to this was back in early February and I used 2 point for that one. Uggghhhhh. Was very tedious. Photoshop is not the best thing for complex stuff in perspective.
Your comment is much appreciated! The environments you do have a sort of dedication to intricacy that I thought about a lot when I was making this. I was thinking, "Welp, this won't be a big explicit city, but let's see if I can make it seem somewhat intricate with as broad sweeping blotches as I can for the background."
Cheers Kaliber! You mention distance which got me thinking. If this were in an art gallery setting, how large do you think a picture like this should be? Let's say it existed in a booth-type setting where the average viewer was standing maybe a meter away upon getting first glance (among lots of other pictures).
