wait, wasn't perseus' shield the aegis, a completely invincible shield that was immune to any strike, be it mortal or godkind? or am I getting my greek mythos mixed up again?

why, thank you most kindly! to be honest, I'm not that knowledgeable in greek mythology. I just know some of the more common stuff, so I'm not completely ignorant on the subject.

Aye Perseus was given the Aegis after deafening medusa, he used her head to stop a tyrant and then handed it over to Athena who then merged the head with the aegis and gave the shield to Perseus , she also crafted the mirror shield he used to defeat the gorgon medusa. Or so the story goes. The aegis was originally used by Atheina and Odin before it was given to Perseus.

This story is using the idea that when a shield defeats something, it absorbs its powers.... think you can figure out the rest hehehe.
