After the events of "The Return Of Mewtwo", Mewtwo destroys yet another lab after discovering another Mew fossil. Feeling alone and realizing the potential, Mewtwo extracts the DNA of the Mew fossil, combines it with his own and conceives a nearly identical clone of himself. Distraught by apparent failure, Mewtwo is woken to the cries of the clone, instantly coming to it and bonding immediately. Naming the clone Quena, after the mountain it was created in, Mewtwo assumes the role of a father!

Unlike Mewtwo, Quena is extremely curious and friendly, acting more like Mew than Mewtwo.
