"I'm Burning, somebody help me: Please!" is a line Yorda will often hear Anatoly mutter when he is having a breakdown, always in his native language. She never understood what he was saying until Anatoly's brother translated it for her...

Power armor is nigh indestructible thanks to the heavy armor plating, as a result an exo skeleton is built into the power armor to assist the pilot when moving: but if the power is cut off it becomes a really heavy paper weight. As always, being courageous and kind Anatoly took point for his squad so they wouldn't be in harms way one night: until an enemy soldier fired a rocket into the power source: the armor's one weakness.

The problem with losing the power is Anatoly didn't have the strength to move the armor on his own: nobody does. Even worse was the power source exploded engulfing his armor in flames. For 3 minutes Anatoly was engulfed in burning agony until a local family he helped and his platoon arrived to pry him out. Even then they were only able to put out the flames, it was another 10 minutes until another soldier in power armor was able to pry him out of his armor. They couldn't take his clothes off out of fear his skin might come with it.

Anatoly has massive burn scars on the back of his arms and upper back. This deeply scared Anatoly mentally: giving him a great fear of fire: Yorda has been helping him conquer this fear with some success: but it's going slower than she had hoped.

Fun facts about the power armor:

-Only 3 MK-1s were made: one was piloted by Anatoly, the other by Charles, the 3rd one was piloted by Anatoly's old friend.
-Charles's was repaired after he got bullet lobotomised and was given to a new pilot
-The last two power armors are now in a museum. Anatoly's was damaged beyond repair
- The MK-1 was replaced by the MK-2, which runs on electricity rather than nuclear fission and has more fail safes built in.
