"She turned me into a newt!"

This cute little red belly newt has been carefully mummified with almost all of his natural color intact. I mummify these specimens myself, no shortcuts here! I arranged the wee cutie on a slice of natural agate geode so he looks like he's just chilling there with his tail curled up ever so sweetly.

The pendant is accented with a dark red handmade polymer clay rose (with a green leaf) that plays off the newt's colors and the colors of the agate very nicely. The entire pendant has been given a coat of clear ice resin to protect and beautify with an intense gloss, and it hangs on an 18 inch silver plated chain with lobster clasp. The chain runs through a link that is drilled through the geode at the top.

The pendant is a little over 2 inches tall. The newt is fully preserved without any odor and will last a lifetime with good care.
